Carmel is someone that doesn’t look the other way at injustice. When she sees it she starts working on the solution. She thinks big and she has really helped so many people. She has shown me to realize my dreams and pursue my hopes for the world. Thank you Carmel.
My empowering moment with Carmel I would have to say was right before my first home party and she waved the magic Rising feathers and told me that anything could happen at these parties, and as I finished my story one of the women offered me a place to live for free, which at the time was a huge blessing. It was that moment I felt the Rising magic. The most recent moment that was empowering was when we were sitting at the table at the office and she said that we we’re going to find a place for me to live, and I believe her that her wish for me is to find a place and to have it be secured for a year that I can catch up on all the sleep I have been needing and to care for myself to get my health back. She is the most selfless empowering woman I know. She is definitely an angel on this Earth. She has selflessly given her life to empowering women worldwide, and I don’t know where I would be without her in my life. And let’s not forget Brian also, her backbone. Someday I hope to meet him.

I have been involved with Rising Worldwide and have known Carmel for about 15 years. She has inspired me to spend my life helping others by lifting me up, believing in me, and always showing up for me and my children. I know I can always count on her. I’ve met so many people in these 15 years who she has done the same for. It’s not easy to find someone who devotes their life to changing the world for the better, one person at a time. My life has certainly been changed for the better because of Carmel.
Carmel is the most genuine, kind hearted, influential woman I have ever met. She has really opened up my eyes to the power of a loving heart and just knowing that with community anything is possible. She has been there to bring light into the darkest times and been the one to say “Hey we need to do something about this!” When no one else will. She will speak up for those without a voice, everytime. Personally Carmel was once the only one who believed in me and actually listened when I would talk about my goals and ambitions. She would actually come up with ideas and action steps to help support me. Without Carmel and Rising I can’t say I would be the strong, resilient woman I am today. She helped me believe in myself, and showed me how even coming from hardships we can help others. While others told me “how can you save the world if you can’t save yourself?” We don’t need to be a millionaire to make an impact all you need is the passion for action. I am forever grateful for this wonderful woman who has changed so many lives and continues to do so even when she is sick, hungry, faint hearted she continues to put her best self forward for the love she has for people. I hope to see a revolution of Carmels who would do anything just to see one life saved from tragedy.
